I am not an active fan of newsletters and reading cold emails, but I have signed up for a bunch of people, including Ali Abdaal. This time, I read his recent newsletter and found it interesting. Here is a gist of it-

𝟭. 𝗜𝘁’𝘀 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵 𝗶𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲-𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲

(We are always told to seek people who are better than us, so we always have something to learn from them. Well, it turns out, it is essential to be around people who have somewhat similar thoughts and ideas as you. Being around likeminded people works like emergence)

𝟮. 𝗡𝗼𝗯𝗼𝗱𝘆’𝘀 𝗚𝗼𝘁 𝗜𝘁 𝗔𝗹𝗹 𝗙𝗶𝗴𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗢𝘂𝘁

(Social media is full of people who seem to have it all figured out, but in reality, it is rarely the case. everyone is dealing with something, it is the choice to show up and do what you love and use your mind in the right direction. Also, not having it all figured out is what makes life interesting)

𝟯. 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝘂𝘁𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘂𝘀𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗶𝗿𝗰𝗹𝗲𝘀

(If you aren’t challenging yourself every once in a while, maybe you aren’t growing. try something that sticks out to you, engage in hobbies you haven’t tried before, talk to people and take that leap of faith!)

𝟰. 𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝘁 𝗮 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲

(Having too many things on the table, it is sometimes hard to just focus on one thing and wrap it up and start another one, and usually end up doing several things that are half-done and the deadline is almost over)

I have a Substack newsletter too, where I share my learnings and my journey as a solopreneur. Consider signing up and it would be a pleasure seeing you on the other side of the internet- www.substack.com/@wrotagonist

Ciao!
